CW33 News at Nine's Terri Chappell

Terri Chappell is weeknight co-anchor with Tom Crespo.

Terri attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and Mesa State in Grand Junction, Colorado. In 1986 at Mesa State she began her broadcast career as morning anchor at the CBS affiliate. From there she moved on to work as anchor/reporter in Illinois, Iowa and California. Her position as anchor/reporter/producer at the News Travel Network gave her the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States.

In 1995, the Texas Associated Press awarded her First Place for her documentary on Russia's medical crisis and abandoned children. In 1997, while working at KEYE in Austin, she was nominated by American Women in Radio and Television for the "Broadcaster of the Year" Award. In 1998, Terri was awarded Second Place for her five part series on Cuba, by the Texas Associated Press. In 2002, she was honored with "Mother of the Year" Award by Fort Worth's Volunteers of America.

Terri was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She lives in Dallas, with her husband and their children.
